Senior Full-Stack Engineer

About the role

Growli tracks how ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity answer the questions buyers actually ask. The product is live and growing fast. This is our first dedicated senior engineering hire, so you will shape both the codebase and how we ship. The stack is deliberately boring — React, TypeScript, FastAPI — because the interesting problems live elsewhere: making millions of assistant answers queryable in milliseconds, keeping a six-language product coherent, and turning raw evidence into interfaces a shop owner reads at a glance. Every deploy is gated by the full test suite and reaches production the same day, so the distance between your idea and a customer using it is measured in hours.

What you will do

• Ship features end to end across a React and TypeScript frontend and a FastAPI backend.
• Turn raw assistant responses into the evidence trails customers act on.
• Own quality: typed code, real tests, and the gates that keep deploys safe.
• Work directly with the founder on what gets built next, and why.
• Extend the visibility pipeline's product surface: geo maps, per-assistant positions, competitor tracking and weekly reports.
• Keep performance honest as the dataset grows — the dashboard must feel instant at ten times today's volume.
• Mentor the engineers who join after you; your standards become the team's defaults.

What success looks like

• Features you shipped are used weekly by paying customers — and you can name which ones.
• The test suite grows with every feature, and deploying stays a non-event.
• At least one major product capability exists because you proposed it.
• New engineers are productive in days because the codebase teaches its own patterns.

What we are looking for

• 5+ years building production web applications, comfortable on both sides of the stack.
• Strong TypeScript and React, and solid Python.
• You have owned features from idea to production, not just closed tickets.
• You write clearly in English and work well asynchronously.
• You are pragmatic about tools and allergic to accidental complexity.
• Bonus: experience with LLM APIs, SEO tooling or data-heavy dashboards.
