Founding Product Designer
Define how an entirely new kind of evidence looks: what AI assistants say about a business, made instantly legible to people who are not analysts.
About the role
AI visibility has no design conventions yet — nobody settled what a 'share of AI answers' should look like, how a lost mention should feel, or how a small business owner reads a geo map of their own reputation. You will set those conventions. As founding designer you own the product's entire surface: the evidence dashboards, the six-language marketing site, the reports customers forward to their bosses, and the design system underneath. The bar is unusual: our users are dentists, lawyers and shop owners, not SaaS power users — every screen must answer a business question at a glance, while never hiding the evidence behind a decorative score. You will work directly with the founder, ship weekly, and see your decisions live in production the same day.
What you will do
- Own end-to-end design for the dashboard: visibility scores, per-assistant positions, geo maps, competitor views and change alerts.
- Design the data visualizations that make answer-level evidence readable in seconds — honest first, pretty second.
- Evolve the design system so ten new screens a month stay one coherent product.
- Design for six languages from the first draft: German headlines and Chinese line breaks are not an afterthought.
- Prototype with real product data, test with real customers, and cut what does not survive contact.
- Shape the marketing site and reports so the product's evidence-first personality is unmistakable.
- Pair with engineers at the code level — your Figma is a conversation starter, not a handoff artifact.
What success looks like
- A first-time user finds their biggest visibility problem within two minutes, unaided.
- The design system covers the product so well that most new screens need zero new components.
- Customers screenshot our reports into their own board decks — voluntarily.
- Design review time drops because the principles are written down and actually used.
What we are looking for
- 5+ years of product design with at least one data-heavy B2B product shipped and lived with.
- A portfolio that shows complex data made legible — not just polished marketing pages.
- You design in systems: tokens, components and rules that survive without you in the room.
- Strong opinions about honest data visualization; you can argue why a chart lies.
- Comfortable shipping weekly with a small team and no design bureaucracy.
- Bonus: you prototype in code, or have designed for SEO/analytics products before.
